PowerLung, Incorporated is based in Houston, Texas, and was formed in 1999 to develop and market threshold resistance training machines for the respiratory (breathing) muscles.
The company assumed the name of its product - PowerLung. Since its initial offering of the PowerLung Sport, the company has regularly added a new product to its line. Each new product is designed to meet the needs of a specific user community.
The PowerLung Sport, introduced in 1999, is designed for someone who has aerobically well conditioned breathing muscles. This is usually someone who athletically trains four or more hours per week or someone who plays a brass or woodwind instrument.
The PowerLung Trainer, introduced in 2000, was designed for the individual who is focused on general fitness for health. It is an intermediate level of resistance. Based on user requests for something more suitable for those interested in maintaining good fitness and wellness, the Trainer offers exactly that.
In 2002, PowerLung announced the Breather. Again, it was based on user input for those who are just beginning an exercise or wellness program. The PowerLung Breather can actually help a beginner get started by helping them learn to really breathe deeply.
Now with 3 models available to meet the needs of the advanced, intermediate and beginner, we are continuing to listen to our customers requests and enhance our products and add new products.We are pleased to distribute our product around the world to individuals involved in all areas of sport and recreation,
firemen, divers, policemen, military, personal singers, actors, musicians people who just want to breathe easier for a better quality of life.
